Brazilian BBQ Still On! 5K and Kids’ Fun Run Canceled
Community Day will still happen on Oct. 3 from 12:00-2:00. The 5K run and the Kids’ Run is canceled due to Montgomery County closing all county fields. The weather looks clear starting around noon so come on out for lunch! It will be chilly and still a bit damp so dress warmly!
RCA General Meeting October 1, 2015
Neighbors, please come out to the RCA General meeting on October 1st, where we will have a chance to weigh in on reuniting RCA-land under one election district and sharing our long-term vision of RCA-land around Randolph Hills Shopping Center.
Maryland Delegate Al Carr will be at the meeting to gather feedback from residents regarding his bill to reunite RCA-land under one election district as it was prior to the 2010 redistricting process. I know many residents closer to Randolph Road will greatly enjoy having Rocking Horse Center re-instated as their polling place, so please come and share your thoughts with Delegate Carr.
The RCA is also proud to host Allen Kronstadt, the owner of the Randolph Hills Shopping Center, who is interested in hearing from residents about their vision for the shopping center and the community at large under re-development that could take place as part of the White Flint 2 Sector Plan (see: http://www.montgomeryplanning.org/community/whiteflint2/). Although any potential re-development is still years away, this is an important first step in forming our vision with the property owner. We can help shape this vision into the White Flint 2 Sector Plan.
The meeting starts at 8pm at the Viers Mill Rec Center, map.
