Neighborhood Clubs

Our neighborhood hood is home to many special interest clubs. These clubs are a great way to meet your neighbors.

Randolph Dog Club

The mission of the Randolph Dog Club is to work with the Montgomery County government to build an off-leash dog park on existing land within Randolph Hills Local Park. Dog parks have many advantages: they promote responsible dog ownership, reduce criminal activity in adjoining areas, properly socialize dogs and provide an exercise outlet which keeps dogs physically and emotionally healthy. Additionally, our community is ideal for a new dog park. We have underutilized existing park land while being centrally located in the down-county area with a number of dedicated dog owners.

More information at the Randolph Dog Club website.

Gardening Club

The Randolph Garden Club started as a way for gardeners (and beginning and non-gardners! also) in the Randolph Civic Association area to exchange gardening information, swap plants and seeds, and to learn more about gardening in our local environment. We plan plant exchanges, garden visits to get ideas from other local gardens; guest speakers; and the exchange of ideas and information via the Yahoogroups email list.

Book Club

The Randolph Book Club is a neighborhood reading group that meets each month to discuss a book suggested by one of the members. Meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month, beginning at 8:00 pm. Members take turns hosting the meeting in their home or at a casual restaurant nearby.

Books selected for discussion include fiction and non-fiction, classics and current literature. Books should be readily available from the library or in paperback at bookstores.

Please see the Book List Database for our current reading list and meeting schedule.
